The Impact23 Training Program is Now Available! 

Web-based training and workshop registrations are available in the UC Learning Center under Finance Administration and Practices to introduce staff and faculty to new Impact23 applications and supporting business processes!

The Impact23 Training Program is designed to meet diverse learners’ needs by providing persona-based learning paths, web-based training, and instructor-led workshops. 

  • Web-based training (WBTs) provide the foundation of the training knowledge by providing the information needed to operate within the system, including important policy reminders. These are the initial courses in each learning path. 

  • Workshops are hands on sessions to get into the system and practice the skills learned in the web based trainings. Here you can practice, ask questions, and gain your bearings in the new system(s).

  • Guided Learning will be available to assist learners at go-live in the new systems, including Oracle Guided Learning for Oracle Financials and Oracle Budget and WalkMe for select Financial Boundary Systems and Tools.

The learning paths are available within the UC Learning Center within sub-libraries which represent the learning paths. Additionally, the courses are listed in the order in which they should be taken within the sub-libraries. 
As a reminder, the Foundational Training is the initial learning path for the Department Transactor and the Department Analyst learning paths. The Financial Manager & CFAO and the Faculty, Researcher & PD/PI learning paths are stand-alone.  

 

You might notice, that the initiator training has been shifted to the Specialized Processes & Programs library. This course will be available soon. This change is to ensure that the training is as tailored as possible to the participants. 

 

We highly recommend watching the April Town Hall and downloading this presentation to understand the training program better. We also encourage you to begin web-based training today to prepare for the workshops. This will ensure a more efficient and effective learning experience!
As the training program evolves and we gain more insight into the user experience with the systems during the stabilization phase, we will continue to share any new insights we discover in the newsletter and update the training program accordingly. 
 
We highly value your opinion and constantly strive to improve our training program. We rely on your feedback through the course surveys at the end of each course to help achieve this. This sheds light what is working well and what can be improved, so that enhancements to the training can have the most impact to meet the training needs. 
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I take the WBT and Workshops multiple times?
A: Yes! We'd like to encourage you to take/attend as often as needed to prepare.
 
Q: Why can't I register for a particular Workshop?
A: Participants should complete the learning paths in the order they are presented. Though some courses are optional, other courses are required to register for the associated workshop (for example, the Buying and Paying web based training and the Buying and Paying workshop). 

Q: Can I take courses outside my recommended learning path?
A: Absolutely. We know departments are structured differently, and it may benefit users to go outside their primary learning path based on their departmental duties. So, if you are a Department Analyst who handles the ordering for your department, you are welcome to join the Department Transactor learning path too!
 
Q: I am a Financial Manager, CFAO or Academic, do I need to take all the Foundational Training?
A: No. The courses within the Financial Manager & CFAO and Faculty, Researcher & PD/PI learning paths comprise of pertinent and condensed information from the other learning paths. 
 
Q: Can you show me an example of Guided Learning?
A: Absolutely. Watch this quick video for an overview of Oracle Guided Leaning (OGL). More information will be shared on OGL and WalkMe as we near closer to go-live.
